Montessori
The Montessori Approach
Montessori is a method of observing and supporting the natural development of children. This approach allows our kids to develop creativity and problem solving, social and time management skills. All while learning to contribute to society and the environment.
Music
Part of our regular curriculum includes daily singing and dancing. Your child will learn songs in many languages and dances from around the world.
Kindermusik Enrichment Program
Your child may choose to join the weekly Kindermusic group, where there are more songs and dances from around the world, provided by a professional music teacher.
Danceworks Enrichment
Your child may also join the Danceworks program that provides studio quality dance instruction weekly at Redwoods International.
Around the World
Each week features a different part of the world, covering its geography, people and culture. Your child is encouraged to bring items from those parts of the world, to share with others. Guest speakers and special projects deepen the experience for each student.
ABCs of the Week
Each week, a different letter of the alphabet is emphasized. With encouragement, each child explores sounds, writing and reading.
Celebrations
Your child will be able to participate in monthly birthday events, combining the celebration of all children who have birthdays in that month. Plus there are holiday events – and even some surprises for you too!
Share Day
Every Wednesday, your child is welcome to bring an item to show the rest of the students…and to tell a story about it.
Tools for Your Family
Your family will receive a monthly calendar of events including the countries being studied, letters of the week and special guests, so that you can follow along and supplement your child’s learning.
